Youngsters Special!
With the youngster special, you can now cover your mare and only pay the stud fee when a live foal is born.
When registering or inseminating your mare, only a flat-rate fee of €150 plus VAT is to be paid. The stud fee minus the already paid flat-rate fee is only due when foal is born in 2026. The stud fee invoice will be issued in the month of the expected birth and is to be paid immediately after the foal is born.
Stud certificates must be submitted at the beginning of the breeding season.
The down payment of the stud fee is due with the semen order. New customers will only receive semen once the deposit has been paid. The cost of shipping semen will be invoiced separately to the breeder. Shipping on weekends and public holidays may be possible by prior arrangement. The shipping containers including cold packs must be returned immediately, otherwise they will be charged at €25.00.
Please note that a dose of fresh or frozen semen for a subsequent mare will only be available once the due down payment of the stud fee has been made.
The breeder undertakes to state before the first insemination whether an embryo transfer is to be carried out. If this is the case, the full details of the recipient mare must also be provided.
The breeder is obliged to return the last semen utilization certificate before September 1st, with a note on the pregnancy or non-pregnancy of the mare. In the case of non-pregnancy, a certificate from the veterinarian must be available by September 1st.
Otherwise the balance of the stud fee is due. If the notification is not submitted on time, the remaining stud fee is due!
Should a stallion drop out during the breeding season, there is no entitlement to a refund of the stud fee. The stud fee paid can be credited to another stallion.
The stallion owner is only liable for damage caused by him or a vicarious agent through gross negligence. The stallion owner is not liable for damage caused by third parties. The owner must take out liability insurance to cover the risk arising from animal keeper and animal guardian liability and provide evidence of this on request.
We would like to point out that stallions, especially young stallions, which are in their first breeding season will only be registered in HB I after they have completed and passed the stallion performance test and only then can the foals be fully registered. Breeding before the performance test has been completed is at the breeder’s risk
