With Barino, a Trakehner premium stallion from the 61st Trakehner stallion market in Neumünster in 2023, enriches the stallion ensemble at our station.
The extremely typey black-brown embodies classic East Prussian nobility attributes, impresses with high rideability values and basic gaits of exquisite quality.
His excellent interior favors high levels of rideability and innate rideability.
The father Kronberg, a premium stallion at his licensing, was qualified in 2022 for the Bundeschampionat of German eventing horses.
The dam, Bari, was the Champion Mare of the Central Mare Registration in Lower Saxony-Hanover. Her father, Empire State, was only available for breeding for one year.
Since both the father, Kronberg, and the mother, Bari, are grandsons of the Trakehner main sire and Grand Prix winner Imperio/Hubertus Schmidt, there is a valuable inbreeding effect on this stallion in the fourth generation.
Imperio’s sire, the bay Connery, appears again in the third generation, so that he is visible three times in the pedigree. He was trained in dressage up to the advanced level and has already made a name for himself as a sire.
He sired 45 state premium mares and twelve licensed sons. His offspring are very successful in dressage competitions up to the advanced level. Connery has also gained a foothold in Hanoverian state horse breeding with good mares and highly talented riding horses.
The great granddam Bondina (by Fontainbleau) and the great-great granddam Baschka were each honored as an elite mare of the Trakehner breed. Bondina was a member of the reserve winning family at the Trakehner National Broodmare Show in Neustadt (Dosse) in 2004; Baschka produced Bocelli (by Kennedy), a dressage horse that won advanced (S) level dressage under Dr. Susanne Wagener.
Barino represents the Trakehner family O267A1 Balistyka 4612, which is rooted in the Polish state stud Racot and also produced the well-known sire Bartholdy as well as the licensed stallions Bahrain and Black Magic Boy.
The internationally successful advanced (S) level eventing horse Nice Connection (by Preußenprinz-Michelangelo) under Anna Siemer, Linda Algotsson (SWE) and Jarno Debusschere (BEL) also represents this family.
