Sire Hardrock Z jumped at the highest level up to 1.60m under Emanuel Andrade and combines the genetics of the stallions of the century Heartbreaker and Carthago.
His dam Moya van ‘t Merelsnest is a daughter of the international show jumper supplier Nabab de Reve and was herself successful in sport up to 1.45m. With Emerald van’t Rytershof she has already produced Pernella van’t Merelsnest, successful up to 1.40m, and with Comme il faut the also licensed son Thyano van’t Merelsnest.
Descended from her dam Maureen van’t Merelsnest by Lys de Darmen, who is also successful up to 1.50 m, she goes back to the legendary mare Idjaz-C, who is responsible for the high performance density in the heredity.
This world-famous Idjaz-C is the direct dam of McLain Ward’s two-time Olympic champion Sapphire and is also known as the granddam of the top stallion VDL Glasgow van ‘t Merelsnest.

Parker Merelsnest VDL was already one of the most talked about stallion candidates at the KWPN stallion licensing and proved his quality at the KWPN performance test. There, Parker Merelsnest VDL shone as a complete stallion, performing well in all aspects. The Hardrock Z-son achieved a total score of 80.5 points, including an 8.5 for his fantastic technique and 8th marks for ability and reflexes, canter, willingness to perform and jumping perspective.
